Have you not had the opportunity yet to get to know more about it? Then this is your opportunity to 'Dine with the Dutch'.Or Are you living in a Dutch student house? Have you always wanted to know more about international students? Know more about their habits and their way of living? Do you want to show your hospitality. Then this is your opportunity to dine with international students. What is the idea?Several Dutch student houses in Enschede are inviting international students to have dinner together in a Dutch student house. A student house is a place where two to three students (sometimes more) live together. The aim is to give you, as well as the Dutch students, the opportunity to get to know each other and each other's culture.Up till now there have only been a few initiatives to improve contacts between Dutch and international students. For both Dutch and international students this is a nice opportunity to get to know more about each other. |
How does it work?Subscribe for the event by filling out the form below. Registration is possible until Februari 7th 2012. We will then match the international students with the Dutch student houses. Soon after Februari 7th a Dutch student house will contact you to set a date to meet each other for dinner.If you'd like to go to a Dutch student house together with your international friend(s), please let us know by adding a remark to your subscription. Please note that your friend also has to subscribe separately. A Dutch student house can invite at most three international students, depending on the size of the house. Registrations will be processed first come first served, so Maybe you don't have a bike and prefer to be invited by a student house close to the place you live. If so, just add that to the remarks of your subscription. When you have any diet restrictions concerning yourself and/or your friend(s) you can indicate that under the remarks as well. How am I informed?After you have registered, you will receive a confirmation by email. By the time the Dutch student houses and international students are matched, we will inform you by email again. If everything goes smoothly, you will be contacted soon after that by a Dutch student house. If you do not receive any phone call or email, don't hesitate to contact us again by the form below. The same holds if you have any other questions about this initiative. |
Who organizes this event?This 'Dine with the Dutch' event is organized by ChOOSE (cooperation of four christian Dutch student associations). The event last year was very successful. More than 70 international students and 30 Dutch student houses participated. This time we again invite everybody to join: we enjoy getting to know more about the different backgrounds of the international students in Enschede.
